Geo Bucket App Reviews

New to caching, great helper!

As mentioned by others, geocachers links are now opening in geo bucket by default. Im not comfortable enough with it yet to use it as my default, and the only way Ive found to get around it is to delete the app. Unfortunate, because the improvements are making this app better all the time. I too will try it again when the issue of the default app is fixed. It would be nice if one could choose.

Im no sure why all of my geocaches are now opening up on this app rather than the Groundspeaks app. Im deleting it.

I use it all the time when Im geocacheing, I like new updated too.

Fellow Geocachers, Ive used a handful of Geocaching apps on my iPhone and iPad and have found that this one is by far the best!!! Besides being fairly easy to use, the developer truly wants to make it as useful as possible for his users. Ive seen him personally responding to both simple and difficult questions on the apps FB page with a very helpful and none judgmental attitude. If you are considering downloading this App for the fun (and addicting) sport of Geocaching, I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Since the last update, this app works perfect

I have only used GeoBucket for geocaching. I have an iPad2 and it is wonderful. My husband recently purchased a GPS so he is happy too. Geo Bucket allows me to quickly check cache details then log in find. I love the program and highly recommend it to others. GeoBucket has one of the best maps around. I use it extensively when we travel to get to a new destination. (And I can find caches too along the way).

I love how I can go on a road trip and see the caches as they get close. Keep it up. It is about the only thing I use for geocaching anymore. My handheld GPSr is only for wooded caches.

To bad it wont let me create an account so I could use the app.

Awesome app. Use it all the time. Great if you dont have Internet. Just doesnt work all the time.

This is a great solution for paperless geocaching especially if you do not have or do not trust your smart phones connectivity. Occasionally the app will crash but it recovers quickly and I have never lost data.

Love it! Great maps. Easy to navigate.i use it to check statistics, track travel bugs and finds.

When I try to create an account so I can download cashe information from the website I get an apple error message saying that doing so violates some Apple iTunes policy. Others (smarter than me) are able to do this. Will somebody please post instructions on what to do? It should have already been done by whoever wrote this thing.

I obtained geobucket because of its support for online maps. I created maps for use when we were traveling to Scotland but they were so slow to refresh on my ipad that I ended up deleting the app half way through the trip. In general its features and the way it displays cache information are more cumbersome and less intuitive than other caching apps I have used. The map feels cluttered and the cache information and presentation is not as robust as what I am used to using (Geosphere). Facebook as the primary means of support was not helpful.

If youre a serious geocacher, this is a must have app. Far easier to use with tons more features than any other app. Once the kinks get worked out of the experimental Wifi GPS feature, this will be the "go to" app for use with iPods and non cellular iPads. Nice update!

Loved this app until I updated. Now crashes on startup. I hope this is fixed quickly!

My favorite app crashes upon opening..major bummer! Was just fine until the "update".. Man, never trust the update. Zero stars for bumming me out. Have to put at least one star to submit this review, but its an empty star, so there.

Ditto to others. Update does not work. I even reinstalled the app. :(

There is so more information available at a glance in this app that the official app feels like a toy in comparison. Filter by favorite points, any loaded cache is there for offline use, new version does trackables and can load/filter by other users bookmark lists! One request: turn off GPS radio in fixed location mode to save battery. Premium GC users should not still be reading, they should be downloading this app!
